Qemtex is a powder coatings manufacturing and R&D complex launched in 2024 in Umm Al Quwain, UAE. Developed as part of 1Thirty Holding's industrial strategy, the project brings together advanced production, applied research, and technical services within a single industrial ecosystem.

Within the industry, the holding identified a major opportunity: to build a regional production and innovation hub with skilled jobs and the capability to deliver internationally certified powder coatings while providing the technical depth necessary for critical markets.
1Thirty Holding saw an opportunity to address the structural gaps by building a new industrial platform and innovation hub from the ground up.
Manufacturing
Manufacturing engine in the Middle East
The construction was completed in approximately six months. So the facility reached full production capabilities within a year.
The production facility operates as the industrial core of the platform. With a capacity of around 5,000 tons per year, the plant localizes the production of high-value coatings, strengthening regional manufacturing capabilities. This allows manufacturers across the region to access certified products faster, reduce supply uncertainty, and maintain stable production schedules.
The facility works under internationally recognized standards and certifications, ensuring that coatings meet strict performance requirements for demanding applications such as architectural aluminum, industrial equipment, automotive components, and infrastructure systems.

The plant in the UAE operates as the foundation of 1Thirty's international projects with an export-oriented manufacturing model. The distribution network is set up across multiple countries, reinforcing the group's presence in the Middle East and beyond.

Entering one of the world's most competitive industries required both speed and precision.
Many industry partners now refer to the facility as a "miracle in the desert" — reflecting how rapidly the project has established itself as a credible player in the global coatings industry.
Within its first year of operations, Qemtex successfully achieved multiple international certifications, including Qualicoat Class 1 and 2, QualiDeco, and QualiSteelCoat.
The project also assembled a multinational team representing more than 15 countries, combining diverse technical expertise and industry experience.
The center also collaborates with international institutions, including the IFO Institute in Germany, contributing to the advancement of global coatings standards.
