European Flagship Powder Coatings Platform in Portugal
Building a High-Capacity European Production and Innovation Center
1Thirty Holding plans to invest more than €28 million in the development of a powder coatings manufacturing facility in Portugal with an annual capacity of 10,000 tons.
Intended to become one of the most significant production platforms in Europe, the site will combine industrial manufacturing capacities with a dedicated R&D center, forming a unified production and innovation environment.
The project is export-oriented from the outset, with approximately 85% of output allocated to international markets, positioning Portugal as a competitive production base within the global coatings supply chain.
Responsible Innovation Mindset
The R&D center in Portugal will focus on environmentally responsible coating technologies and the integration of AI into material development, formulation design, and process optimization.
The project is expected to create more than 100 new positions for highly qualified specialists, supported by strong safety standards and a structured corporate culture. Moreover, Portugal will become an innovative industrial hub in Europe.
Together, a future manufacturing scale and research capabilities establish Portugal as a strategic European anchor within the Holding's long-term industrial growth strategy.
